Hosted simulator activations across the Gold Coast, from Surfers to Sanctuary Cove

The Gold Coast is an exceptional place to run an event. The venues are world-class, the weather (mostly) cooperates, and guests arrive in the right headspace. What can be harder to find is entertainment that lives up to the setting.

A mobile golf simulator hire on the Gold Coast does exactly that. It's high-impact, doesn't need golfers to work, and runs itself once it's set up — which means your event manager gets to enjoy the event instead of managing it.

This is the local guide: what's involved, what venues work, which suburbs we cover, and what to expect on the day.

What mobile golf simulator hire on the Gold Coast actually looks like

Not all golf simulator hire is the same. Some operators drop off equipment and leave you with it. That's not what we do.

Mobile Golf Co provides a fully hosted, turnkey activation. We arrive, set up, run the session, and pack down — without the client lifting a finger. Our professional host manages the experience throughout the event: welcoming guests, explaining the format, running competitions, keeping the energy up, and handling anything technical that comes up.

What arrives with us:

  • Inflatable enclosure (for outdoor or open indoor spaces) or compact polyester enclosure (for function rooms, lower ceilings)
  • Rapsodo MLM2 Pro launch monitor — the same technology used at professional coaching facilities
  • HD projector
  • GSPro or Awesome Golf software, chosen to match your crowd
  • Leaderboard display for competitions
  • All power and cabling sorted — we bring what we need

Space requirement for the standard setup: 7 metres long × 5 metres wide × 3.5 metres high. If your Gold Coast venue is tighter, our compact indoor enclosure works in smaller configurations — worth confirming with us when you enquire.

Where we run events on the Gold Coast

We cover the full length of the Gold Coast and surrounds. Regular event locations include:

Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach — hotel function spaces, rooftop venues, corporate conference venues. If your event is in the heart of the GC, we know the area well. Golf simulator hire in Surfers Paradise covers more on what to expect there.

Robina — typically corporate events and team days at the business parks and venues in the southern corridor.

Hope Island and Sanctuary Cove — resort events, golf club activations, high-end corporate hospitality. These venues tend to suit the inflatable setup well — outdoor space isn't an issue.

Helensvale and Coomera — team building days, smaller corporate functions.

Southport — a range of events at commercial venues and sports clubs.

Gold Coast Turf Club (Bundall) — race day and trackside activations. We've run events in this space and the simulator works particularly well as a VIP hospitality feature.

If your venue is on the Gold Coast and isn't in this list, reach out — we service the whole region and have likely run events nearby. Also see our Gold Coast corporate team building page for specific packages.

What kind of events work on the Gold Coast?

Pretty much all of them. The questions we get most often are about whether the event type is a good fit — so here's the honest answer by category:

Corporate events and team building: This is the strongest fit. Golf simulators create structured, competitive entertainment that gives people something to do and talk about. No one needs to know anything about golf. Awesome Golf's mini-games handle complete beginners without awkwardness.

Client entertainment days: Gold Coast lends itself to premium client experiences, and a hosted simulator adds a distinctive element that dinner and drinks alone doesn't.

Race day activations: The Gold Coast Turf Club is an ideal setting for a simulator activation in the VIP enclosure. Long dwell time between races, well-dressed crowd, plenty of champagne — and something genuinely engaging to fill the time.

Conferences and trade shows: We cover Gold Coast conference venues and trade show activations regularly. The simulator functions as a crowd-draw and brand engagement tool.

Private events: Milestone birthdays, corporate functions with a private element — the setup works as well at a Surfers Paradise penthouse as it does at a hotel ballroom.

Software: GSPro or Awesome Golf?

This is the question we get asked most often after "will it fit?"

GSPro is realistic course simulation. Your guests are actually playing courses — Augusta National, St Andrews, Pebble Beach. The Rapsodo launch monitor captures real shot data and the ball flight on screen reflects what you actually hit. It rewards good golfers and gives corporate teams a genuine competitive format.

Awesome Golf is the non-golfer option. Mini-games, closest-to-the-pin challenges, driving range competitions — all skill levels play on equal terms, and the best player on the night is often not the person who plays golf on weekends. For mixed corporate crowds, this is usually the right call.

We choose based on the event type and brief. Most Gold Coast corporate events run on Awesome Golf. When a client has a golf-specific crowd or wants a tournament format, we switch to GSPro. You don't have to decide this in advance — tell us about your crowd and we'll recommend.

Pricing for Gold Coast events

Our standard activation packages:

Package Duration Price (ex GST)
Standard 4 hours from $1,600
Pro 6 hours from $2,000
Raceday Full day $3,500

Travel to the Gold Coast is included in our service area. For venues south of the Gold Coast or significantly outside the metro area, a travel rate of $1.20/km return applies — we'll include this in your quote so there are no surprises.

For sponsorship or brand activation packages (naming rights, branded enclosure, white label), see the corporate activation pages or contact us directly.

How far in advance do you need to book?

Corporate events at popular Gold Coast venues book out. The more lead time you give us, the better — a minimum of 2–4 weeks is workable for most events, but for race days, major corporate functions, or anything around EOFY or Christmas season, 6–12 weeks ahead is sensible.

One thing that helps: we only need a 50% deposit to confirm your date. We're not asking for full payment up front.

Getting started

The quickest path is a quote. Tell us your event date, venue suburb, rough guest count, and what the occasion is — and we'll come back to you with options and a clear price.

We're also available to chat through the setup if you want to confirm suitability before committing. Most Gold Coast venues work. We'll tell you honestly if yours doesn't.
